Happy Veteran's (Wives) Day
In observance of Veteran’s Day we want to thank all of those who have made our freedom possible and those who are still fighting for us. I have so much respect for those who are in the armed forces, but I also have a huge respect for their families. It wasn’t until the past couple of years I was really able to see up close how military families are affected. Husbands leaving their wife and children for months at a time, that is a huge sacrifice for them. And then the wives…the pressure they have to keep everything running smoothly here at home while knowing their husband is in danger fighting for this country. It truly amazes me. I am in awe of the women who are married to these guys, because it takes a very special and strong woman to hold that role. So today as we celebrate all of the Veteran’s , I also want to say thank you to the wives of these Veteran’s. You deserve it! [ 1 comment ] ( 22 views ) | permalink |

This little boy loves modern day technology…
He loves the TV and of course the remote that goes along with it.
He even has his own remote that looks exactly like the real one, yet he knows it isn’t the real deal and just throws it aside.
Most of all he loves computers!
I am sure by the time he is 5 his Daddy will have already taught him how to take them apart and put them back together.
Last night as Deacon was standing in front of the TV watching Super Why Bryan says to me…”How cool is that, he gets to watch TV and the cartoon characters heads are bigger than his. As a kid that has to be so cool to him.”

The drool…oh the drool. This kid seriously drools like crazy. He is soaking 3-4 shirts a day in drool. See…
He has several teeth trying to come in right now and it is just downright sad. It seems like his whole mouth is swollen. His back gums on the bottom (both sides) look terrible and he has two top molars coming in and I’m not so sure some of his front teeth are coming in as well. I know it is so painful for him. All of this is causing lots and lots of drool and fussiness and clinginess. At this point I am so ready for all of his teeth to come in just so it all goes away. We use Orajel frequently and Motrin when needed so, together that seems to help.
He really like these frozen chewies (Is that what they are called…not sure)
Last night he carried this one around all night.
Until, like any man, he decided that watching tv would make him feel better.
And he obviously found something that he thought was exciting…probably Word World!

And he even got a bruise on his check. Saturday night we were in his room playing and he took off to his book shelf to and tripped and hit his face on the shelf. Poor little guy. I tried to get a picture of it, but this was the best I could do.
We also went to a different park on Saturday, but forgot the camera. There was a play area that was infested with older kids. So we were much happier in the open area, just running and playing. Deacon loved walking along the trails and even got to meet a couple of puppies. There was one little boy who was probably about 5 that walked by and Deacon just had to follow him.

Today Bryan wanted us to all go to the park for lunch. So I packed a picnic lunch, we picked him up and we were off to the park. Even though it was a very quick adventure we enjoyed some family time. It seems like these days that is hard to find.
