Babies, Babies, Babies
It seems like among our friends and family there is a huge baby boom right now. Butch and Leigh had their baby girl, Hallie, on Wednesday. She is beautiful. Amy L. announced Monday at bunko they will be adding another baby to the group! Who will it be next month? Deacon will have two other friends joining him soon, Stella, Tom and Sydney’s baby girl in September and baby Carter in December. Amy and Kyle will find out the sex in just a few weeks! We are also expecting a new niece in the next few weeks. So as you can see with those that have already arrived and those on their way, Deacon is going to have lots of play dates.

I know I said I would update everyone on my doctor’s appointment yesterday, but it had to be rescheduled due to my doctor’s father passing away. So it was just postponed a week. We do have an appointment on Tuesday at UAMS for the Sara Study. We will have 4-D ultrasound done, we are very excited about doing this.

Today my mom, Brooke and Brandi are all coming down for my shower tomorrow. We have been looking forward to their visit. I am sure we will have a great time and do lots of shopping, that is my mom’s favorite thing to do when she comes down.

Give a man a fish...Teach a man to fish
Bryan has hijacked the blog...

I remember the days when I slept till noon, played till 4pm and worked till 2am. I recently had a flash-back 4 years in my life; a time when I worked in a factory, wondering how in the world do people need this many fuel pumps; a time when I either went fishing or golfing everyday; and a time when I thought "I can't do this the rest of my life"...

When a good friend (we'll call him Lyle) recently revealed to me his goals for the summer, I thought...There is no one better to sacrifice their own well-being for another man's dream..."Become a decent fisherman, and consistently shoot 80".

I agreed to join him in the 3 month adventure. Our plan was to start with the greater of the two challenges...Fishing. Neither of us had the slightest bit of fishing equipment, but Lyle quickly knocked over that hurdle (I know the point is to jump OVER a hurdle, but he really didn't exert any physical effort, so I feel the comparison is valid) by revealing he had access to fishing equipment and knowledge, similar to the way Steve Jobs has access to iPhones.

In the times we have been fishing together (4 weeks), the current fish count is 9 (me) to 1 (Lyle)...So I'm at a point where I decide, do I give the man a fish, or keep teaching? He's getting really hungry.

You see, while I'm helping this 24 year old boy become a 24 year old man, I'm simply preparing for the days when I'll be helping my own boy to reach the same goals "become a decent fisherman and consistently shoot 80", the only difference is the age will be 8 instead of 24.

Bathroom & Maggie
As promised here is a picture of the bathroom.

We still have some finishing touches to add, but it is very close. Bryan worked on the shelving units for Deacon’s room all weekend long. They are all put together, now they just have to be painted. He has done a great job on them.

I have been very concerned how Maggie is going to cope with no longer being the center of attention. Anytime we are working or in Deacon’s room she always goes to her cage (which she has always hated) and pouts. At first I felt bad about it, but then I decided she would just have to get over it. Many times she refuses to go into his room she will just stand at the doorway. Hopefully, she will get over this quickly. Here are a coupld pictures of Maggie. Showinng off her feelings about not being the baby anymore.

We have a doctor's appointment on Thursday, I will let you all know how it goes. It should be pretty routine.

Massage
For Mother’s Day, Bryan got me a gift certificate for a pregnancy massage. I had my appointment today and it was great. I absolutely encourage all of you pregnant girls to get one. I have always loved getting massages, but this was by far the best ever. Thanks Bryan!
