All Good Things Must Come to an End
As you know I love all kinds of technology...

So I took over the computer and tell about the end of our vacation.

When Mommy and Daddy told me that I had to say goodbye to the beach, I was not happy.

Mommy took me on one last walk down to the beach and when she said we had to leave I threw a big fit. I did not want to leave the beach, I love it. I love everything about the beach...

the feel of sand between my toes,

all the free space that I can run (and if I fall down it doesn't hurt),

and of course the waves!

Not to mention leaving vacation also meant I had to say goodbye to my grandparents and I was not ready for that.

One good thing about leaving the beach meant that we were going to see my MeMaw and Pappy.

They have this life thing figured out, you see they live in Florida when it is cold in Illinois. I keep telling my Mommy and Daddy we need to do this.

We are back at home now and me and my Mommy have been busy all day getting groceries, unpacking and doing laundry. She says we had a very productive day, but all I know is I was happy to see my toys.

Just 1 Picture...Please
Today we were on a mission to just get one good picture. Do you know how difficult that is with a very active almost 18 month old? In case you don't know, it is extremely difficult.

Especially when he is trying to run away,

or sit down in the sand,

or jumping,

and all you want him to do is look at the camera and act happy!

Then you decide it's not the best picture but at least he is standing still and we are all smiling.

Then you let him go

and he does what he wants, and of course looks cute doing it.

And you realize you are so thankful that you live in the age of photoshop!

However, he of course does great for a picture with his grandparents.

In the end he is the happiest when he is throwing sand

and running towards the ocean.

And we wouldn't have it any other way!

On another note, we said goodbye to Grandma Dixie and Grandpa Leon. They are on to their next destination. We throughly enjoyed getting to spend time with them.

Chilly...for Florida
Today was a bit chilly, and I say that with reservations due to the fact that back home it is freezing. Anyway, we decided to skip laying out and pool time today and found other activities to entertain us.

First we started with a walk, which ended up being a photo op for Deacon. These are some of my favorites.

Deacon with Mommy and Daddy

Deacon with Grandma and Grandpa

After Deacon and Grandma got done playing blocks...she would build the towers

so he could knock them down.

We headed to Naples. We found some great homes to look at. And by great homes I mean a $10-$23 Million. Deacon fell in love with one house, his favorite parts were the showers and the basement, the two places where he could yell and his voice was magnified.

We walked down a cute little street and had some delicious ice cream! Then ended our time in Naples at Barnes & Noble.

We had a late dinner and I was a bit concerned about how Deacon would do since we were just being seated at his bed time. He ended up doing great and fell asleep on the way home.

Another great day. Tomorrow is not suppose to be as windy as today, so we are planning another day out in the sun!

Just Another Day at the Beach
Tonight's post is much shorter than last nights, due to the fact that I am trying to get this done before Bryan and I go to the movies!

Deacon had another great day. I told Bryan that Deacon and I may move here and he can come visit us on the weekends. Bryan seemed to think that might be too far to travel every week.

Deacon loved chasing the birds on the beach.

At first he wasn't too sure of the sand but it was only a matter of time before he was running through it.

Deacon even found a new friend from Italy!

Bryan found out that this little girl's dad lives in England and commutes to Italy every weekend to see his wife and daughter.

So see...Arkansas and Florida is doable.

Yea for the Beach!
When Deacon woke up this morning he realized the balcony and he fell in love.

He enjoyed hanging out there and just taking it all in.

But his favorite thing was when Grandma would open both doors up and he could run around in circles...in one door and then out the other.

This morning it was a bit cloudy and chilly so we stayed indoors this morning.

Then this afternoon we went down to the pool, which is thankfully heated.

Deacon loved splashing in the pool.

Hi mom!

Then Daddy thought he would check out the hot tub. Don't worry Deacon didn't get in...only Bryan.

Deacon just couldn't stand for Daddy to carry him anymore and had to get down.

He couldn't get away from Daddy fast enough.

We all seen it coming but just couldn't stop it...Deacon took a tumble and hit his head on a chair and ended up with a pretty good bump.

After he recovered he took another walk with Daddy but decided to hold on to Daddy's hand.

Then the craziness came out.

Seriously, what is this kid doing?

I think he is saying...I love my Mommy! ha.

He then decided that he wanted to try to run away from Daddy again, so Daddy had to have a little talk with him.

But Deacon did not want to listen.

So that meant it was the perfect time to snuggle up with Grandma.

This evening we all went to dinner with Grandpa Leon and Grandma Dixie. Deacon and Grandpa Kent went for a little walk while we were waiting on them to pick us up.

Deacon was not in the mood to sit still at dinner, and once we got to Grandma and Grandpa's place he was even more wild.

He even found a perfect hiding spot.

Deacon had a big day and was still going strong at 10:00 pm, but I finally decided that it was time for him to call it a day. He went to bed without a peep and I am hoping he will sleep in!

We are so thankful to be hear in Florida rather than buried in the inches of snow back home. Although snow can be fun for a short while, the beach never gets old.
